Muslim population reached 40% in Assam, matter of life & death: CM

CM Himanta Biswa Sarma claimed Muslim population in Assam now stands 40%. "In 1951, it was 12%. We have lost many districts. This is not a political issue for me. It's a matter of life and death for me," the BJP leader added. This comes days after Sarma said that criminal activities by people from a "particular religion" were concerning.
