Muslim wife can seek maintenance even after divorce: Supreme Court

Recently in a judgment of Mohd Abdul Samad v. The State of Telangana & Anr, the Hon'ble Supreme Court has held that under Section 125 of Cr.P.C, a Muslim wife can seek maintenance from her husband even after their divorce. Muslim women can also seek maintenance under section 3 of the Muslim Women Act 2019, told Advocate Deep Somani.
