Mutual fund industry adds ₹14 lakh cr to its asset base this year

Mutual fund industry added ₹14 lakh crore to its asset base, pushing total Assets Under Management (AUM) to a record ₹81 lakh crore by November. The jump in the asset base comes on the back of record SIP inflows and a surge in retail participation. SIPs alone contributed about ₹3 lakh crore, according to Association of Mutual Funds in India.
