My family nearly abandoned me, kept me at my sister's insistence: IAS officer Sanjita

IAS officer Sanjita Mohapatra, CEO of Maharashtra's Amravati Zilla Parishad, recently revealed that her family nearly abandoned her but kept her at her elder sister's insistence. She stated that her mother had wanted a boy. Adding that her parents are now proud of her achievements, Sanjita said she relied on social organisations, teachers and scholarships to complete her education.
