My father was an atheist: Amul Founder Verghese Kurien's daughter

Speaking after an event marking late Amul Founder Dr Verghese Kurien's birth anniversary on Monday, his daughter Nirmala Kurien rubbished claims that her father diverted Amul's profit to fund religious conversions in the country. "My father was an atheist and, despite being a Christian, he was cremated as per his wishes. So was my mother after her death," she added.
