My reputation being damaged, privacy violated: Shakira on $14mn tax fraud case

Shakira has issued a statement on the alleged £12 million (around $14 million) tax fraud case filed against her. She said Spanish authorities were trying to "damage" her reputation. The singer added, "In my case, they (the authorities) have violated my right to privacy and the presumption of innocence, basic rights of any citizen." She called the authorities' methods "unacceptable".
