My signature backing Sobhandeb as Bengal LoP was forged: TMC MLA Baharul Islam

TMC MLA Baharul Islam claimed that his signature backing Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay as the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in West Bengal Assembly was forged. "I did not sign any such proposal," he stated. The CID is now probing the matter at his residence with a handwriting expert. Notably, TMC appointed Sobhandeb as LoP on May 9.
