Myanmar widens ban on sanitary napkins over use by rebels for first aid

Myanmar's military regime has widened its ban on sanitary pads and related products in several conflict areas. The military, which took over Myanmar in 2021 after a coup, claimed the napkins are being used as first aid to treat wounded rebels. Women are reportedly forced to buy sanitary napkins in black markets where prices have tripled from ₹135/pack to ₹400.
