A Mysuru man was cheated of ₹9.6 lakh in a gold coin scam in Karnataka’s Anandapura police limits. Fraudsters lured him with fake treasure coins and verified one fake gold piece to gain trust. They later staged a film-style heist by posing as police. The gang fled with cash and mobile phones. Police have launched an investigation.
