Mysuru's Maharaja Wadiyar wins maiden Lok Sabha polls from Mysore

Mysuru's Maharaja Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar has won the ongoing Lok Sabha elections from the Mysore constituency with 7.95 lakh votes. Maharaja Wadiyar defeated Congress' M Lakshmana by 1.39 lakh votes. The 31-year-old is the great-grandson of the last ruling Maharaja of Mysuru, Jayaramachandra Wadiyar, owns jewellery worth ₹3.39 crore and does not own a house, land or car.
