N Korean leader Kim Jong Un unveils new destroyer to be part of nuclear response system

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un commissioned the 5,000-ton destroyer 'Kang Kon' in Wonsan, declaring it part of Pyongyang's nuclear response system capable of 'annihilating retaliatory strikes.' The vessel is the second destroyer deployed this year. Kim also announced another phase of naval expansion within eight months and new naval bases along the eastern coastline.
