Nadda's regret was fake: Congress as BJP leader defends 'purification' after Kharge's event

After Uttarakhand BJP chief Mahendra Bhatt defended the 'purification' ritual at a venue after Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge's rally, Congress' KC Venugopal asked BJP to sack him. He further said that Union Minister JP Nadda's expression of regret in Rajya Sabha was a "mere eyewash". Kharge had linked the ritual to his Dalit identity, after which Nadda condemned the practice.
