Nagal reaches tennis men's singles quarters, one win away from Asiad medal

India's top-ranked men's singles tennis player, Sumit Nagal, advanced to the quarter-finals at the Asian Games 2026. The 29-year-old defeated Uzbekistan's Sergey Fomin 6-3, 6-2 in the round of 16 on Wednesday. Nagal, who is one win away from a medal, will next face China's Wu Yibing. Meanwhile, India's Dhakshineswar Suresh lost 3-6, 4-6 to Chinese Taipei's Chun-hsin Tseng.
