Nagaland govt bans import, trading of dogs and sale of dog meat
Nagaland government has decided to ban commercial import and trading of dogs and sale of dog meat (both cooked and uncooked) in the state, said State Chief Secretary Temjen Toy on Friday. This came after Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organisations (FIAPO) wrote to the state's CM Neiphiu Rio to ban slaughter of dogs and enforce animal welfare laws.
