Naima Khatoon becomes 1st woman Vice Chancellor of AMU in 100 yrs

Professor Naima Khatoon became the first woman to be appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University in over 100 years. Appointed on Monday after receiving approval from President Droupadi Murmu, Khatoon would hold the position for next five years. Before Khatoon, the only woman to have held a top post at AMU was Begum Sultan Jahan in 1920.
