Nairobi woman survives 11 surgeries, sepsis and stomach leak

A 32-year-old woman from Nairobi survived 11 weight-loss and revision surgeries, severe infection, sepsis and a persistent stomach leak before reaching Pune for treatment. Dr Shashank Shah and his team first stabilised her before performing complex surgery and placing an endoscopic stent. After weeks of treatment, the leak healed and she was discharged walking and eating normally.
