Nak-Kati Rani: Garhwal's Karnavati who cut Mughal soldiers' noses

Famously known as the Nak-Kati Rani (the queen who would cut the nose), Rani Karnavati of Garhwal kingdom was fearless, taking on the mighty army of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. She took over the reigns of running the kingdom after the death of her husband. She asked the Mughal army soldiers to either die or cut off their nose.
