Elephants at Odisha's Nandankanan zoo are being given special care including overhead sprinklers and regular showers amid intense heat. The elephants are also provided with a special summer diet to keep them hydrated. The zoological park has also installed mist sprayers and sprinklers for other animals, and the administration has built shaded areas and cooling pools for the animals.
