Narcotics Control Bureau issues advisory for Indians travelling to Maldives

Narcotics Control Bureau issued advisory for Indians travelling to Maldives after amendments to anti-narcotics laws there. Amended laws prescribe harsher penalties for drug-related offences, including life imprisonment & death penalty, NCB said. Indians have been advised not to carry any item on behalf of others without verifying its content and to keep supervision over their baggage at all times.
