Narottam Mishra's supporters block NH-44, throw stones at police after ticket snub

Thousands of supporters of BJP leader and former MP Home Minister Narottam Mishra blocked NH-44 for nearly 10 hours after he was denied ticket for Datia Assembly bypoll. Eight police personnel were injured after the protesters allegedly threw stones at them. The BJP on Friday announced Ashutosh Tiwari as its candidate for the Assembly bypoll.
