NASA announces Prima far-infrared telescope, launching 2033

NASA has announced Prima (PRobe far-Infrared Mission for Astrophysics), a $1.2 billion far-infrared observatory launching in 2033. It will study planet, star, and galaxy formation, bridging gaps between James Webb and radio telescopes. Managed by JPL, the five-year mission includes international partners from France, Italy, Germany, Canada, South Korea, Japan, and the UK.
