NASA calls mission that left Sunita Williams stuck in space one of worst mishaps
NASA has classified the 2024 Boeing Starliner mission as a 'Type A mishap', a category reserved for incidents involving over $2 million in damage, loss of a vehicle or fatalities. The mission left astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore stranded in space for nine months. "While there were no injuries...this...designation recognises there was potential for a significant mishap," said NASA.
