NASA designs greenhouses to mimic Earth conditions on Mars

NASA is collaborating with scientists to design greenhouses mimicking Earth conditions. The 18-feet-long cylindrical prototype involves an inflatable greenhouse to support crop production for nutrition, air revitalization, water and waste recycling. The bioregenerative life support system would provide long-term sustenance to future astronauts exploring Mars and beyond, NASA said.
