NASA drops plan to land 1st woman, 1st person of colour on moon

NASA dropped its plan to land first woman and first person of colour on moon in response to US President Donald Trump's directives to eliminate diversity, equity and inclusion practices at federal agencies. The promise was key to NASA's Artemis programme, which is scheduled to return humans to lunar surface in 2027 for first time since Apollo mission in 1972.
