NASA explains Universal Waste Management System aboard Artemis II

NASA explained the 'Universal Waste Management System', the space toilet used by the astronauts onboard the Artemis II mission. The compact 5-cubic-foot toilet is designed for microgravity, storing solid waste in odour-controlled canisters while pre-treated urine is vented overboard daily, NASA noted. Notably, just after launch, the toilet malfunctioned but was later fixed.
