NASA identifies 13 possible origins of 4.1-bn-yr-old Mars rock

NASA-funded research has identified 13 possible locations on Mars where a 4.1-billion-year-old meteorite found in Mali's Sahara Desert may have originated. Named Teghaza 001, the rock is among the oldest Martian meteorites discovered on Earth. Its minerals provide evidence of ancient volcanic activity and interactions between water and rock, offering clues about Mars' early geological history.
