NASA names Katherine Calvin as new Chief Scientist, Climate Advisor

NASA named Katherine Calvin as its new Chief Scientist and Senior Climate Advisor on Monday. Calvin will serve as principal advisor to the space agency's leadership on science programs, strategic planning and policy. She will succeed Jim Green who retired as the Chief Scientist after 40 years of service. "I'm excited to be a part of the team," said Calvin.
