NASA plans to lay gas pipeline at Moon's south pole

NASA is planning to lay gas pipeline under Lunar South Pole Oxygen Pipeline programme to support Artemis mission. The five-kilometre pipeline would transport oxygen extracted from lunar regolith and ice to storage or liquefaction sites near a lunar base. Made from lunar aluminum, the system aims to reduce energy costs and the complexities of transporting compressed oxygen across the surface.
