NASA rover captures striking image of dawn on Mars
NASA’s Curiosity rover captured an image just after sunrise on Mars, showing sunlight bathing jagged rocky peaks formed billions of years ago. “We think it once was wind-blown sediment, maybe sand or maybe even ash that blew into the crater from nearby volcanic activity,” a NASA scientist said about the peaks. Curiosity has been exploring Mars since landing in 2012.
