NASA’s ₹38,150-crore Roman telescope that could discover 1 lakh planets launched

NASA on Sunday launched Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket from Florida. The $4-billion (₹38,150-crore) observatory will study dark energy, dark matter and exoplanets. NASA is expecting it to discover around one lakh planets beyond our solar system. Roman has a field of view at least 100 times larger than Hubble Space Telescope.
