NASA's X-59 aircraft flies faster than speed of sound during tests

NASA announced its experimental X-59 aircraft flew faster than the speed of sound for the first time on Friday as it flew at a speed of 713 mph and an altitude of 43,400 feet. NASA said the X-59 is expected to reach a speed of 925 mph and fly at an altitude of 55,000 feet in the coming days.
