NASA shares pic of Jupiter's X-ray auroras, 'most powerful in the solar system'

NASA took to Instagram to share a picture of Jupiter's "unusual" X-ray auroras. It said, "Jupiter has the most powerful auroras in the solar system and is the only one of the four giant planets with an aurora that has been found to emit X-rays." They are caused by ions "surfing" electromagnetic waves in Jupiter's magnetic field, NASA said.
