NASA spots 4th 'cotton candy exoplanet' in 'super puff' star system
Astronomers using NASA's James Webb Space Telescope have discovered Kepler-51e, a fourth "super puff" planet in the Kepler-51 system, 2,615 light-years away in Cygnus. These rare planets are Saturn-sized but have extremely low mass and density, resembling cotton candy. Scientists believe they have small cores and large, fluffy atmospheres made mostly of hydrogen and helium.
