NASA team proposes using Sun as cosmic magnifying glass

Some NASA astronomers have proposed using the Sun as a cosmic magnifying glass. According to Einstein's theory of relativity, light from a distant star is bent around another star, magnifying its image like a telescope lens, before it reaches Earth. This phenomenon called 'gravitational lensing' is used to find exoplanets millions of light-years away using stars outside our solar system.
