NASA tests new thruster that may cut travel time to Mars to 3 months

NASA recently finished testing of a lithium-fed electromagnetic thruster which can reach five-times more power than current electric propulsion systems, NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center announced on Monday. It added that this technology is paired with a nuclear power source and could cut travel time to Mars. Experts added that it could cut travel time to Mars to three months.
