NASA to create a spot colder than the vacuum of space in ISS

NASA researchers are creating an atomic refrigerator to freeze matter to near absolute zero temperatures, ten billion times colder than the vacuum of space, where atoms theoretically lose their energy and become motionless. The Cold Atom Lab, scheduled to launch to the International Space Station this year, can be used to test quantum mechanics and Einstein's general relativity, said researchers.
