National AIDS Research Institute (NARI) Director Dr Samiran Panda has said that the Indian Council of Medical Research has proposed to rename the institute. HIV infection has come down majorly, hence it is better to use the institute and research team in other fields as well, he added. This comes nearly three decades after the institute was established.
