Farmer-turned-filmmaker Bhaurao Karhade’s National Award-winning film “Khwada” (“Obstacle”) will be released on October 22 as it comes out of a fund crunch. It tells the story of a family from Karhade’s native village in Maharashtra, who moves to the city amid the government’s apathy to the rural-urban divide. The film won in the categories of Best Director and Best Sound.
