National Biodiversity Authority crosses ₹200-cr in access, benefit sharing
The National Biodiversity Authority (NBA) has crossed ₹200 crore in cumulative disbursements under India's Access and Benefit-Sharing (ABS) framework. It has sanctioned ₹8.23 crore to be distributed among states for the use of four vegetable crops, bitter gourd, okra, chilli and onion. The move aims to ensure communities benefit from the commercial use of biological resources.
