National Film Award-winning actor Salim Kumar passes away aged 56

Legendary Malayalam actor Salim Kumar passed away at the age of 56 on Saturday. The actor was placed on ventilator support after hospitalisation due to liver-related ailments. Kumar won the National Film Award for Best Actor for social drama film 'Adaminte Makan Abu'. Known for his comic roles, he starred in over 300 films including 'Kalyanaraman', 'CID Moosa' and 'Rappakal'.
