National record holder Pooja finishes 8th in women's high jump final at CWG 2026

India's Pooja Singh finished eighth in the women's high jump final at Commonwealth Games 2026. The 19-year-old cleared 1.77m on her second attempt but failed to clear 1.82m in a competition marred by wet weather. Pooja had cleared 1.93m to win gold at the Asian Under-20 Athletics Championships 2026 in May, breaking 14-year-old high jump national record.
