National record holder Praveen retires hurt from triple jump final at Asiad

National record holder Praveen Chithravel suffered a hamstring injury during his first attempt in triple jump final at Asian Games 2026 on Saturday. He appeared to be in considerable pain before retiring from the event. The 23-year-old had won bronze at Asian Games 2022 and silver at the Commonwealth Games 2026.
