Nations far away being penalised: Jaishankar as he calls for peace at UNGA amid West Asia war

EAM S Jaishankar urged de-escalation of West Asia conflict at UNGA, saying, "Countries far from conflicts are being penalised for no fault of theirs." He called attacks on commercial shipping and loss of life of seafarers "completely unacceptable". "India has joined Liberia and 23 other partners in an initiative to rally global public opinion against such unwarranted targeting," he added.
