Natural gas plunges on record output and mild December forecasts
Natural gas prices tumbled over 6% as US output hit a record 109.7 bcf/day and forecasts pointed to seasonally mild weather through late December, dampening demand. Energy stocks felt the impact, with Expand Energy down 2%, EQT off 2.2%, and LNG players like Venture Global and Cheniere also slipping. The United States Natural Gas Fund fell more than 6%.
