Navi Mumbai senior duped of ₹1.54 cr in ‘digital arrest’ scam

A 62-year-old Panvel resident was duped of Rs 1.54 crore by cyber fraudsters posing as Delhi ATS officials in a 'digital arrest' scam. They kept him on video calls for eight days, sent fake documents, and coerced transfers. The fraud came to light after he visited a police station. Navi Mumbai Cyber Police have launched a probe.
