Naxal leader wanted for 20 years killed in police encounter in Karnataka
Vikram Gowda, a Naxal leader, who was wanted for 20 years was killed after an exchange of gunfire in Karnataka's Udupi district, state Home Minister G Parameshwara confirmed. "He was active as a Naxal and was constantly moving between states," he said. While reportedly Naxal activities have become negligible in Karnataka since 2018, recent reports said they are reviving.
