NCERT drafts book on making schools inclusive for minorities

The NCERT has released a manual for guiding schools to ensure that they are sensitive to the needs of students from minority communities. Stating that such students find prayers during school assemblies "alienating", the manual advised school committees to celebrate festivals observed by religious minorities. It also directed schools to monitor attendance of students from disadvantaged groups.
