NCERT manual explaining difference between 'sex' and 'gender' sparks debate

An NCERT training manual for educators has sparked widespread debate, with critics accusing it of promoting "toxic western gender ideology". The controversy is over a chapter explaining difference between sex and gender which says "while sex is biological and constant, gender is a social construct". The manual came into spotlight after author Sankrant Sanu shared it on X.
