NCERT reconstitutes textbook committee weeks after SC rap

The National Syllabus and Teaching Learning Material Committee (NSTC) has been reconstituted by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). This comes weeks after Supreme Court criticised controversial content on judiciary in Class 8 social science textbook. The reconstituted NSTC comprises 22 members and no longer includes three names that were part of the old committee.
