NCERT releases new Class 8 Social Science textbook after row over chapter on judiciary

NCERT has released a new Class 8 Social Science textbook months after a row erupted over a chapter on the judiciary. The controversial content on judiciary has been removed from the chapter. The textbook states that the chapter on judiciary was "rewritten" by an expert committee constituted by the Union Ministry of Education on the directions of the Supreme Court.
